Valentine´s Day is celebrated the 14th of February. It is known as a day on which lovers show their love through gifts, letters, poems or dedications.
ReplyDeleteThere are several theories that give this date the origin of Valentine's Day. In the Nordic countries during this time are paired and breeding birds, so this period is seen as a symbol of love and creation.
Some believe it is a Christian festival, as in ancient Rome was made the worship of the god of love. Its Greek name was Eros, but the Romans called him Cupid. This celebration is called for the favors of God through gifts or offerings to try to find the ideal love.
Saint Valentine was a Christian priest, at the injustice of the marriage between soldiers, decides to marry couples under the Christian ritual of the Roman eyes.
